Korean photographer JeongMee Yoon's photos:

JeongMee has spent the last five years photographing boys and girls with their 'gender specific' coloured belongings - usually pink for little girls and blue for boys. This is Yealin Ham with her pink possessions

The results are photographs of the kids surrounded by their favourite things in their bedrooms - all-pink or all-blue. "The models are mostly my friend's children or people I met on the street," she said

"I collect their belongings and put the small things in front and big things at the back for a spectacular look." This is Yealin Ham again with her pink possessions

Five years ago, when the kids were toddlers the girls seemed to prefer pink and boys blue but after revisiting the children recently JeongMee realised some tastes had changed. "Some girls now think pink is babyish and had chosen purple or blue instead," she said. "It was interesting to see the transformation."

One child, Tess, from New York, had completely changed her preference in the five years since JeonhMee's first visited her."Before everything had to be pink...

I would say there are about 200 items for each child," she said. "All the objects belong to the child. I don't bring anything," added JeonhMee who spends about six hours setting up each picture

JeonhMee's work could be seen at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art at the exhibition "Chaotic Harmony: Contemporary Korean Photography" until Sept. 19, 2010. This was the first major American exhibition of photography by contemporary Korean artists living in Korea. This is Chaeyeon and all her pink possessions
